Actually it’s not that simple to tell if an character art is AI generated nowdays since it got so advanced. (yes some hand drawn art looks really AI, and AI can draw in completely different art style)

I didn’t play this game so i dont know about the gameplay, and neither know about the dev, but i think using AI for the visuals let him to spend more time in other things specially if he doesnt work on a team and is solo developing
