I have a problem where it moves the display up so that I can only see the bottom half of the game on the window, not sure what causing it or how to fix it.

Crimsonx87

so there is a good 80% chance that i can solve this issue for you…. along with any other programs you have that dont display correctly in that similar way…..

<1st image>
First off…. Go to the executable file…. blahblah.exe…. if you cant find it that easily… right click on the shortcut, and click “open file location”.

<2nd image>
In my case, it simply sent me to yet another shortcut. So another, “open file location”, and we finally arrive!

<3rd image>
One you find the proper EXE file, right click on it, click properties. In the box that appears, as long as it IS an executable, it will have compatibility options. Click the compatibility tab, then click the button towards the bottom that says “Change high DPI settings”.

<4th image>
At last we have arrived! Go to the section at the bottom and click the checkbox. Then change the drop down to “Application”. This SHOULD solve your issue.

~Bonus round!~
If it still isnt right…. you should attempt the other 2 options….Im not sure if its the same for everyone… but if so, you will also have “system” and “system (enhanced)” as options…..

~The Conclusion~
Now then…. lastly….. if everything i have said has failed…… your “Hail Mary” play is to change the options in the top half of the DPI settings window…. you will first click the check box and then try one of the 2 options and see if that fixes it…. and just like below… if not, go back and try it the other way….

Ok…. last piece of advice…. you MUST completely close the program between each attempt…. there is NO point in changing the settings unless you close it and then reopen it. That means, even if you have to find its process in the Task Manager and kill it each time, make sure its closed!
Also, make sure you click apply and then OK each time you change the settings…. again, there is no point if they arent saved to the file before you reopen it.

Also, for anyone who wants to know….. i have had similar issues, but mine are caused by using the “scaling” under windows display settings…. but i have seen programs do this even without touching the scaling….

Good Luck!!

Thank you for your instructions, but it can’t seem to fix it. I do appreciate your effort of typing that entire reply and providing screenshots as well, but alas I’ll try fiddling around with it a bit more
