I did something odd when I was playing this game. I forgot I was playing a porn game and just played it and enjoyed it like a normal game.
Gameplay is as you’d expect, the usual suspect turn based game. However, this game goes a step further allowing you to explore a mall swarmed by zombies. It gives serious Dawn of the Dead/Dead Rising vibes since you can walk into almost every store and explore it for items and books (books are extremely important to read as some give permanent stat boosts). I actually had a lot of fun weaving through the hordes of zombies and looting various stores, all while feeling a bit of anxiety as every step forward I took would be another step I’d have to take to go back and recover.
The CGs are nothing special, to be honest. The art is pretty good, but there’s no voice acting or sound effects so you’re better off just looking up the CG set if that’s what you’re looking for. As a side note, though, when it comes to the art, some of the zombie designs actually gave me a spook. It takes a lot to spook me when it comes to zombies since I’ve been desensitized to them from movies and videos since I was a kid so this came as a delightful surprise.
Some extra tips if you care: I found that holding C to skip dialogue takes forever and that repeatedly pressing C skips faster. Make sure to check shelves, displays, boxes, and lockers for items. Some items might just be laying there on the floor such as a frying pan or a coat hanger, so make sure to mash Z on everything. You don’t gain levels from fighting, you gain them from doing side quests, so if you wanted you could just run from every encounter. I also needed to boot it up in Japanese Locale mode to get it running. In the beginning of the game it asks you if you want to wake up right away or wait for 27 days later. I recommend beating choosing to wake up right way, then after beating the game go back to 27 days later.

I actually had quite a bit of fun with this one, but it’s probably because of my deep nostalgia for Dead Rising.
